SPECIAL NEWS
HOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWLLLLLLLLLLLL

It is my pleasure to announce our pack has a newborn!  Sherri and I had our 4th baby boy this afternoon at 3:35 PM CST.  He weighed 8 lbs 13.6 ounces, was 21 inches long, and a cookie cutter of the other 3 when they were born.  What is the old saying about "I can kill you and make one look just like you"?  I think that was
a Bill Cosby comedy line, anyway I digress.  Both mommy and baby are doing well and resting fine now.  I have to admit, it was touch and go with the baby for a little while, and I can tell you honestly I have never been more scared in all my life.  We got to the hospital at 6 AM this morning (Tuesday) for an "emergency" induction due to Sherri having high blood pressure for a prolonged period of time.  As some of you may know this is an early warning sign of toximia and is dangerous to the baby.  I got a phone call yesterday (Monday) afternoon while on site at a client in Texas to come on home.  Once we got to the hospital, got her admitted, checked in, hooked the IV's up, etc. they broke her water at 8:30 AM.  They let her progress on her own for a few hours, then hooked her up to an epidoral and gave her petosin around 2 PM.  At that time she was 4 cm dialated.  At 3 PM she was fully dialated and fully effaced.  (Spelling on all this medical mumbo jumbo jargin is probably all wrong so bear with me).  Things went well from there and the doctor showed up with the catchers mitt at about 3:15.  Sherri pushed several times, the baby crowned, and it was then that things got a little hairy.  The cord was wrapped twice around his neck, and there was a situation called "shoulder distortia", which basically means his broad shoulders wouldn't fit through the birth canal.  The doctor did a fantastic job and worked him out, but he has some bruising on his arms and around his nose, and he had breathing problems for about an hour.  He is doing fabulously now and we are all, as you can imagine, very much relieved and thankful he is a big, healthy, strong little wolf!

Please pass the news onto the guild as there are some who may want to know.  Hope to see you all in game later in the week!  Perhaps we can celebrate by vanquishing some nasties!

Sincerely,
Barron
