If you've grouped with me, or seen my guild chats online, you're probably wondering "where is this guy from and why do they call him Lord?!". Those are really good questions, and ones I wish I had answers to! It all started one day, what seems like many seasons ago now, when this little disc arrived from Sony in my mailbox. I looked at it, tossed it aside, and it gathered dust for two weeks before I was bored enough to try this "beta" game they had sent me.

Creating a character was not fun! It seemed any name I wanted to use was either taken, or invalid. Finally I settled on LordBaron. So there is the first answer, those in the guild that know me best call me Lord not because I walk on water or can perform miracles, simply because it was part of my very first beta 1 character name. Picking a class was an entirely different chore! If they had jester as a character class, that would be perfect! But they didnt, so I chose a ranger. So there I was, running into battle after battle like a BULL, usually just getting a fast gate back to SFG (I was still low enough level I didn't get debt!). No idea what I was doing, where I was going, just that I was having fun! I found very quick that me trying to use my sword and brute force was like the Chicken Hawk in looneytoon cartoons! It was Beta 1, and I had no clue what I was doing! I was running up a hillside in Surefall Glades when suddenly I ran into a brick wall, this mighty giant of a man, who just looked down at me, picked me back up, and asked how many fingers he was holding up.

One of his kind friends, a noble yet quiet cleric healed me, and I was good as new again. I was prepared to go on my way when Grift, the monsterous man I knocked myself out on, asked if I would like to join his group! That nite, way back towards the end of beta 1, was the first time I ran with the wolves! Two betas, a general availability (GA in the software insudstry), and countless updates and patches since, I'm still a wee little ranger carrying a big punch. The guild has grown since then, by leaps and bounds. Mostly with those crazy Truax's, what with the Clerics who cuss and the warrior Godesses, and the Pimpin' and the bling-bling'n, no to mention the whole cross dressing fur coat/dress thing that kind of worries me and what not. But me, I'm still looking up at Grift as he stomps a mudhole in whatever nasty we're fighting, shouting at the top of my lungs

"Lemme at him! Lemme at him!".
